The University has a representative, collective decision making, systematic, administrative / management structure to ensure effective and shared good governance. The internal governance of University is managed by highly experienced and dedicated team members with excerpts and timely advice from our Advisory Think tank members. Involvement of Students as major stake holders is a guiding aspect of Governance.
A highly experienced team of management is constituted for guiding the university in achieving the overall vision, mission, and objectives. The academic section of the various faculties is guided by the Academic Council and the Innovation and Research is guided by the Innovation Cell, Research and Development Council. All these councils are guided and chaired by the Chancellor / Vice-Chancellor. Each of the constituent institutions is headed by the Deans / Directors who monitor the overall day to day administration of individual institutions. The university has adopted an advanced ICT enabled and smart ERP based management system for efficient monitoring and reporting so as to ensure faster and efficient implementation of administrative decisions.

Bharat Lal Meena

Founder & Chairman at Bharatiya Engineering Science and Technology Innovation University, Andhra Pradesh

He worked in Indian Administrative Service (IAS) with 32 years of experience at different levels and different departments in Government in Karnataka and GOI. He started his career in civil service as Assistant Commissioner and worked in key areas including Deputy Commissioner, Director of Mass Education, Managing Director Bangalore Electric Supply Co, Commissioner – BBMP & BDA, Principal Secretary – Agriculture and retired in 2017 as Additional Chief Secretary (Higher Education).

He was closely involved in power sector reforms in his service as Secretary, Karnataka Electricity Board, Managing Director, Bangalore Electric Supply Company, and Managing Director, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation.

He acquired vast expertise in Urban Development and Higher Education through large scale reforms. He is Founder President of Apnadesh Association engaged in Community Development and People’s Participation. He is the Global Chair of World Forum for Education which has undertaken lots of initiatives to bring together Innovators and Social entrepreneurs. This is a first of its kind not for profit initiative with a view to create a platform for knowledge givers and seekers and also macro influencers.

The Global Co-Chairs of World Forum for Education – WFE Dr Rupa Vasudevan, Bharat Lal Meena (IAS rtd) and their International partners have incepted Forum, WFE, with an aim to spread networks that are dedicated to capture, share and exchange development experiences with national and international partners or individual knowledge givers, document creative thoughts, ideas and nurture them in order to accelerate development.
Bharatiya Engineering, Science and Technology Innovation University (BESTIU), is a green field university in Andhra Pradesh which believes in the dictum “Knowledge is Power”. It has adopted an innovative path of delivering high quality education by developing the young human resources on the foundation of cultural, ethical and moral values, while boosting leadership qualities, research culture and innovative skills among them. BESTIU is currently operating from Anantapur campus with best infrastructure facilities on a sprawling 30 acres campus with all required facilities. BESTIU has entered into collaboration with several prominent Universities, CGIAR Centres, Private sector organizations within India and across the globe. Its collaborations with the industries aims to bridge the gap between industry and University. One step in this regard is setting up of a BRIDGE centre in collaboration with BOSCH at BESTIU. The university facilitates and encourages regular visits for its students to industries and mandatory internship with industries are planned for the students to help them to become skilled that are relevant to industry requirements. Structured training programs on soft-skills and preparatory training for competitive exams are planned to make students more employable. BESTIU is in the process of setting up of an Incubation cell to promote entrepreneurship development skills among the students and extend full support to the budding entrepreneurs to nurture their ideas.

A professional Educationist, with 20+ years of vast experience in education management at Institutional, Business school and University level. She is appointed by GOK as one of the top ten academician Executive members of the General council of Karnataka State Higher Education Council, apex body on education in the state and was also involved in planning and implementation of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) initiatives in association with the Government of Karnataka. She is actively involved in skilling and Agricultural development activities and trying meaningful ways in which we can make a difference to our farmers while documenting best practices / traditional agri knowledge systems by farmers from rural areas of South India – the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Promoting IAIS – International Academy of India Studies, college under Bharatiya Engineering Science and Technology Innovation University which primarily focuses on experiential/immersive study model of our civilizational legacy, India’s culture and heritage, traditional knowledge systems, archaeology, art forms, dance forms. Incepted Just Indic Think Bharata series of workshops that look at exploring, understanding and celebrating the tangible and intangible heritage and will highlight the relevance of ancient systems for a contemporary society.

Holding both a BA and MA degree in Communications from Kempbelle University, Harriet Erikson has spent much of her professional life at the College.

An expert in corporate law, he teaches a wide range of courses including Contracts, Sales, Closely Held Business Organizations, Publicly Traded Corporations, Mergers & Acquisitions, International Law and International Securities Regulation.

Betty Bowman joined the faculty in 2002, and received tenure there in 2007. Before joining the faculty, she was a visiting assistant professor at Syracuse University College of Law. Prior to that, she was a legal consultant with JPMorgan Chase; a contract attorney for Cravath, Swaine & Moore; and an assistant prosecutor for the Ministry of the Attorney General in Toronto, Canada.

With over four decades of law teaching experience, Johnny Jones is a nationally-recognized constitutionalist who has received numerous awards for his teaching, including the first-ever Pioneer Award for his commitment and dedication to students from the FIU Student Bar Association in 2004. Since then, students have voted him “Professor of the Year” multiple times.

Dennis Ruiz was a member of the faculty at Texas Tech University School of Law, where she held the Alvin R. Allison Distinguished Professorship and received every teaching award the law school and the University conferred. She was the Distinguished Fulbright Professor of American Constitutional Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Greece in 1992.

Vernon Lowe first joined the University in 2006 as Assistant Dean for Academic Support Programs. He served as Assistant Dean until 2013, when he became a full time lecturer at the College. He teaches classes relating to legal theory and reasoning, race and law, gender and law, and in the area of commercial transactions.
