Both profession and family are the two important sides of the same coin. Profession is important for individual identity and financial security and family for emotional security.

We must find time to spend with family for peace of mind. Professionalism does not mean that we become a workaholic and not spend quality time with family.

Money earned through profession is a tool for happiness and can’t give love, care and concern we get from loved ones. With focus only on career one may get fame and money but lose many sweetest moments of life.

The ultimate goal of everyone is being happy and our family plays a crucial Role here. We must develop a habit of saying ‘no’ to the unimportant matters and spend quality time, maybe short but make most out of the time spent especially for our children. Childhood is an important stage of development. Children learn almost everything from their surrounding and most importantly family, their value systems, love, care for elderly, morals come from togetherness and time spent with parents.

So this is where we need more mental maturity in our lives. This maturity comes with experience, wisdom and intellect through good upbringing. We must therefore learn to strike a harmony and balance between our profession and family.

COVID -19 by default provided us an opportunity to see both sides from different perspective. Let us keep learning our positive lessons.
